bad and sad news

Today I am spending my afternoon reading news feeds from agencies in Kyrgyzstan. Once again too much negative and pessimistic stuff. I try not to think about things there so often because everytime I read the news it just puts me in sad mood. Yet I try to remind myself that I need to concentrate on my own life, own personal development and my family's good, do something for them first and only then, hopefully, do lots of things for my country as well. It'd be ironical if one tries to "save" his country without "saving" himself first.

Most of the news are about;
- politics (referendum, never-ending government vs opposition debates, politicians blaming each other, new assignments)
- traffic accidents and fires (I am shocked to hear that so many accidents happening and tens of people dying every week!)
- crimes (robbing, raping, killing, street fights, narco traffic- what the hell is going on!)
- protests (it is becoming a common practice after that "revolution", any unhappy person can gather few hundred people and go to protest in front of administrative offices)
- activities of religious sects
- reports on corruption, etc.
- useless beauty contests (like we solved all the other problems and now it is time to have fun!)

Sorry there's so much bad news from your homeland. It's much like here in the US it seems... I rarely read the news anymore, it's usually bad! Stay positive... :-)

Thanks, Greg!
I am mostly positive about things in general. Though it is hard to pretend that everything is great when it is your country going through such difficult time. Though I am still optimistic about the bright future of KG.

I worry about everything "hitting the fan" here sometimes. I know things are rough there. I sent you some "highway" photos, and sent an incorrect one on the first email. Sorry! See ya online!
